Life in a land of strangers

It's been seven months since I chose to shift my domain from a known cloud to a stranger. A complete blank form of a cloud with no idea of its flow or its tendency of a thunder-strike. On top of that, I couldn't perceive the droplets of the stranger cloud - at all. A curtain of glum wrapped around my vision as if protecting me from something. It did.

Life in a foreign land isn't easy, to be honest. It takes time to find a stable meniscus for a streamlined flow. However, I still miss the old, deregulatory lifestyle, where I didn't have to follow basic rules and regulations; a liberal country is responsible and grateful for ruining such khwahishes. You tend to miss the morning honk of the milkman, the daily hustle of public transport, the evening prayers by the shores of Hooghly, the night music courtesy of frogs and crickets. Now, it's just cold winds and too much silence, which I'm not used to yet. Nevertheless, I do love the transportation setups here. A stark differential, indeed.

The most longing element still beyond my range - something I would love to be embraced by - is people. I have been an ambivert all my life and tend to bloom in the presence of known counterparts. Moving to a strange land makes the blooming phase stagnant. I can say it is in a logarithmic decay phase currently. It takes intensive investments to negate such implications, and I wish that wouldn't have been the case.

Still, I would say that everyone must live in a stranger land - at least for a phase. Humongous changes happen to one (I am in one of those phases), and it's necessary for becoming a self-reliant soul. It generates a sense of independent empowerment, and I'm very much sure everyone loves that.

My best wishes.

Kai.

Post-script: A soundtrack recommendation from me - Shunkashuutou (春夏秋冬) by sumika. This is an impeccable track representing all the seasons of the year - telling about the journey of life. The SoundCloud notation is given here.
